Mr. Md. Zamal Mollah

Independent Director

Mr. Md. Zamal Mollah has been appointed as an Independent Director of the Board of Directors of the Bank on August 27, 2024 through the reconstitution of the Board of the Bank by Bangladesh Bank.

He was born on February 27, 1962 in a highly respectable Muslim noble family in Dhaka.

Mr. Mollah is a very successful and prominent Central Banker with 32 (Thirty-Two) years of experience in different departments of Bangladesh Bank, such as Foreign Exchange Investment Dept., Foreign Exchange Reserve & Treasury Management Dept., Financial Inclusion Dept., Dept. of Banking Inspection, Bangladesh Bank Training Academy, Expenditure Management Dept., Dept. of Currency Management & Payment System etc. He started his career with Bangladesh Bank as Assistant Director in 1989.

He has travelled widely and attended various trainings, seminars and workshops on different aspects of Banking arena held in the country and abroad. He completed MBA in Finance from IBA of Dhaka University.
